Part 2/3 Up close; Modern Australian Textiles

Pip Willy aka Phillipa Wilkinson was a classmate and friend back in Sydney early 2000's. We studied Textile Design and Printing together under Glenda Morgan and John (Pip you will have to remind me of John's last name). I used to rock up and teacher John would be lying horizontal on the printing table staring up at the ceiling. He appeared so chilled out but man did he know his way around a screen printing studio.

Now Pip Willy can be found here printing her own range of lovely prints for the home. She always had a such a good eye for mixing earthy colours- not a primary colour in sight x

This is a way up close and personal look at Helena Geiger's amazing batik. There are 3 pieces in the show including Boardwalk and Chasm and they arrived via Helena's SA representative Mary Jose (of the stunning Fabric of Life).

Having recently had another look at Helena Geiger's website I realise most of her work has sold in Sydney so you had better be quick to own one of her stunning, evocative fabric works at Nest Studio whilst they are still on show and available. I really hope to meet her one day.
