Bird in Paradise/ Hearts

Bird in Paradise, in storm boy blue, Umbrella prints

Bird in Paradise, detail in bambi, Umbrella Prints

We received our strikeoffs yesterday! The package gets busted open at the letterbox like a bar of chocolate with a golden ticket in it. And then you stare at it- the culmination of months/years of thought and work in printed form....does it work, do we agree (nearly always) what needs tweaking/lighter/darker/deleting/rethinking/warmer/cooler. I love this process!

Of the 6 colours we tested about half worked perfectly and the rest are shelved for the future.

So above are the two (of three) new colours and the first time we have printed my Bird in Paradise in full meterage on organic hemp/cotton. The print run will be in storm boy blue, bambi and olive. Any second now hopefully....

And...sigh...aint these the yummiest, curviest hearts ever? These are by Carly for Umbrella Prints. This fabric was recently published on the cover of Meet Me At Mike's and will be available in glorious full meterage in the next few weeks. Carly and I have decided Hearts will be in our colours kimono red (featured above), pink moon and storm boy blue.
