Katy from the super gorgeous No Big Dill has very generously let us share her tutorial and photographs for how to make these cool fabric 'holes' in your sewing projects. Katy used Umbrella Prints fabric Trimmings to create these lovely puddles of colour in a dress made for her daughter. These are the only holes you will actually want to see in your fabric stash! Thank you Katy.
I loved this one-it got my vote for winner. Fantastic idea, superbly executed!

What can I say, I started with some amazingly inspiring fabric to begin with :) Thanks for the feature.
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable! One quick question, did you stitch the raw edges on the print fabric? How do you keep that from unravelling? And, if you do stitch the edges of the print fabric, doesn't it make it really bulk in the area around the circles? Any thoughts on this?
