next up; Quilter's prize winner Umbrella Prints Trimmings Competition 2014

Umbrella Prints is so happy to open up a Quilter's prize for the first time this year.  We have had some stunning quilts entered in the Trimmings Competition in the past and felt it warranted a special focus all to its own.

We were also happy to hand over the 'judging' of all of the quilts entered this year as we thought they were all beautiful in their own way and therefore terribly hard to judge! Thank you to Luisa Brimble, Anna Graham, Elise Blaha and Jenni Draper, our industry judges, for the honours!

You quilter's are amazing, so much thought and care has produced gorgeous quilts any of which we would be proud to call our own.

The Quilter's prize this year was voted as Ashley Newcomb's Fruit Salad quilt!!! Made from an Earth packet of Umbrella Prints Trimmings and built to 55" square with coordinating solids all quilted in super duper huge concentric circles this is one happy fun and fruity quilt. It was very popular with commenters over on this year's competition pin board too.

Congratulations Ashley we cannot wait to send you your prize for a stunning entry.

Do come over and visit the quilts in the mix this year on our board we love them all and many of them have lovely stories so click through to read and see more pics.

Thank you to all of the quilter's who entered this year you are all wonderful.
